Survios has announced as part of a bundle of PSVR2 reveals that its upcoming VR horror game Alien: Rogue Incursion has gone gold and is ready for its 19th December 2024 release date. To mark the moment, the developer has published a new story trailer to help set the scene for the adventure ahead. Check it out above.
You play the role of Zula, who's landed on the planet Purdan. A research facility called Castor's Cradle has been overrun with Xenomorphs, and you're there to work out what's happened to the people working there and what sort of tests the scientists were conducting. Going for more of an Aliens feel than the original movie classic, Rogue Incursion equips you with a pulse rifle, shotgun, revolver, and an assortment of items like the motion tracker to help you make it through the campaign.
It's out for PSVR2 on 19th December 2024, priced at £32.99 / $39.99 for the base version. If you pre-order between now and then from the PS Store, you'll get a bonus weapon and armour skin inspired by the recent Alien Romulus film. Do you like the look of this one? Me and VR do not gel well. So as intriguing as this game looks, I think I will stick to Fireteam Elite for my "Aliens" fix.
This looks pretty decent
Can't wait! Please be good. Please be good. Please be good!
I'm really looking forward to this. Between Alien Isolation all those years ago and the recent and fantastic Aliens Dark Descent, we're finally being rather treated as Alien saga fans.
Looks amazing, let's hope my VR legs can stand it without wanting to vomit lol 😆
The potential is strong. I just hope they pull it off.
@Axelay71 It's just a first-person shooter in VR, haven't you played one of these before? If you can take one you can take 'em all
Does it come with a free change of skivvies?
@Trousersnake yes Horizon, didn't last long, unfortunately not great in VR. But this looks worth a shot. I'm better with games like Moss, Max Mustard.
Don't get how they were shot down, they are there on a rescue mission, Aliens cannot use lauchers. And if people are tuck there amongst Aliens why shoot down your chance of hope?
I will look at this provided it runs at 90hz and there is no reprojection.
